Hakira scissors are made of VG10(Rockwell 61) steel, also called "Golden Steel" (only available in RIGHT HAND) A stainless steel that contains 1% carbon which makes it harder than many other types of stainless steel (Rockwell 61). The cutting characteristics are truly excellent: VG10 steel is easy to sharpen and resists oxidation very well.
